Terms & Conditions

General Provision

The governing laws for private persons are The Distance Selling Act (”Distansavtalslagen”) (see the dedicated section below regarding the right of withdrawal) and the Consumer Sales of Goods Act (“Konsumentköplagen”). These acts contain strict provisions that take precedence over any individual agreements made by a private person. The governing law for companies, including sole proprietorships, is the Sales of Goods Act (“Köplagen”), which is dispositive, meaning that agreements between enterprises primarily apply over the law.

 

We follow the Privacy Protection Law (“Personuppgiftslagen GDPR”).

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). When you, as a private person, register and place an order, you consent to our processing of your personal data to fulfill our commitments to you. You have the right to access, rectify, or request the deletion of your data at any time in accordance with current data protection laws.

Legal Entity and Sales Responsibility

All products and services offered on designedav.com / Designed-AV Shop are sold directly by CT Designed Audio & Video. While we offer a curated selection of premium brands (such as Tegrino, Almando, and Neo Mesteren), Designed-AV acts as the sole Merchant of Record and registered reseller for all orders. We take full legal and financial responsibility for every transaction, including payment processing, shipping, and order fulfillment.

We do not operate as a marketplace for third-party sellers. All contracts of sale are made directly with CT Designed Audio & Video. Consequently, all warranties, returns, and customer service requests are handled exclusively by Designed-AV to ensure a consistent, secure, and high-quality customer experience.

Ordering

If you are below the age of 18, you will need your guardian's consent. Such consent can be submitted by a parent by sending explicit permission to us by email. All false orders will be tracked and reported to the police, and in case we suffer economic or other damages, we shall claim indemnity.

Payment and Delivery

Once you have placed items in the shopping cart and proceed to checkout, the applicable payment method will be shown, as well as whether or not VAT is included and the relevant VAT rate.  "Normally, delivery is made within 3–5 business days", unless it is clear when placing the order that the delivery time is longer. In addition to the price, there may be freight charges. If so, they will be specified in the webshop’s checkout. Normally there will be no further charges, but if so, it will be clarified during the ordering process. Products in our webshop may be marked with a delivery indication. We reserve the right to delete non-deliverable products from your order and to reduce the price accordingly. If you wish to place an order for an equivalent product, it will be treated as a new order. An order can be cancelled until the point of time when it has been executed (i.e., when the invoice or freight documents have been created). Delivery in part will be done only at your request and will result in further freight charges on your behalf. The applicable delivery method will be seen in the checkout when you place the order. It is your responsibility to ensure that the address you specified at the time of order is correct. Delivery will take place within Sweden and the EU/EEA.

Unclaimed Package

It is your responsibility to pick up the package at the delivery point within the time stated on the notice. If you are unable to receive the package on delivery or do not pick up your package, it will be sent back to us. We may then charge you a reasonable fee for shipping and administrative costs. If this fee is not paid, it will be sent to debt collection.

Modifying an Order

You may modify your order of items in stock until the moment the order has been executed. If the modification is approved, any price differences will be regulated according to the price applicable at the time of change. Private persons are entitled to the right of withdrawal (see section below).

Cancellation

A cancellation will not be valid until you have received a confirmation from us. You may cancel your order without any cost until the moment the order has been executed. After this date, companies must accept delivery. Private persons retain their right of withdrawal (see section below). Companies that cancel an order of a specially manufactured product must pay compensation for costs incurred before the cancellation and for lost profit.

Right of Withdrawal

Statutory Right of Withdrawal Private persons have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with the Swedish Distance Selling Act (Distansavtalslagen). The withdrawal period starts on the day you receive the product. If you have ordered multiple products, or if a product is delivered in separate parts, the period begins when you have received the last product or the last part of the order.

Custom-Made and Personalized Products Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to products that have been manufactured according to your specific instructions or that have otherwise been clearly personalized. This includes, but is not limited to, cables cut to specific lengths, customized adapters, or other technical equipment modified to meet your unique requirements.

Exceptions and Limitations The right of withdrawal also does not apply in the following cases:

If the total price of the order, including shipping and fees, is below 400 SEK.

  1. If a product’s seal, technical sealing, or original packaging has been broken and the product cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons, or if the product is of such a nature that it cannot be returned.

  2. Returns and Product Condition When exercising your right of withdrawal, the product must be returned unused and in its original, undamaged packaging. By law, you are responsible for the return shipping costs. You are also liable for any decrease in the product's value if you have handled the item to a greater extent than is necessary to determine its properties or function.

  3.  How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal To initiate a return, please follow the instructions under our "Customer Service" section. You will receive a confirmation without delay. We will then determine if the conditions for a withdrawal are met and provide you with further instructions via email on how to return the goods.

  4. Refunds Upon receipt and approval of the returned goods, the purchase price will be refunded to you within 14 days from the day we received your notice of withdrawal.

  5. Services For services, the withdrawal period starts on the day we confirm your order. If you have consented to the performance of a service beginning during the withdrawal period and the service has been completed, you waive your right of withdrawal. You also have no right of withdrawal if the service, due to its nature, cannot be returned, or if you have registered a digital license or broken a technical seal.

Complaints and Redemption in Certain Cases​​

If you, being a private person, have received a damaged product or if we sent the wrong item, you must complain about the goods promptly and at the latest within two months from the date you discovered or ought to have discovered the fault. Private persons have 3 years at most to make a complaint depending on the nature of the product and existence of a warranty.

If you, who run a company, have received a damaged or wrongly delivered product, you must complain immediately after you received the goods.

The following applies to both private persons and businesses: a damaged or wrongly sent product must be returned in the same packaging and with the same transportation company as when it was received, along with a detailed description of the fault.

Complaints should then be done by following the instructions under “Customer Service”.

If we are not able to send a new product to you within reasonable time, you will get a reimbursement of the return freight charge together with the amount you have paid for the damaged or wrongly delivered product.

Compatibility problems often occur between different products, and we therefore recommend that you find out as much as possible before you place an order, to avoid unnecessary costs.

Misprints

Product Information and Accuracy, we strive to ensure that all information on the website is as accurate as possible. However, we reserve the right for potential image and typographical errors (misprints) on the website, such as errors in product descriptions, technical specifications, incorrect prices, or availability information.

We reserve the right to correct any such errors and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. If an incorrect price has been stated for a product you have ordered, we will notify you and await your approval of the corrected price before proceeding with the order. If we cannot reach you, the order will be cancelled.

Please note that images on the website are for illustrative purposes only and do not guarantee the exact appearance, function, or origin of the product.

 

​​Force Majeure

Both parties shall be relieved from satisfying this agreement, if its fulfillment is precluded, or essentially disabled by circumstances beyond their control or circumstances which could not reasonably be foreseen. The following and similar circumstances shall constitute reasons for relief, provided they hinder or aggravate fulfillment of the agreement: fire disaster, war, mobilization, requisition, confiscation, currency restrictions, common scarceness of goods, deficit in means of transportation, strike, lock-out, power outages, deficits in driving means, and errors or delays caused by sub-contractor because of circumstance, mentioned in this paragraph, or other circumstance, which the parties could not possibly control, which either prevents or aggravates the parties’ fulfillment in such a manner that it could not be done other than to an unreasonably high cost.

Dispute

The National Board for Consumer Complaints (ARN) provides free proceedings for private persons in case of dispute. It is our policy to follow the recommendations given by ARN.

Dispute between companies will be settled in district court.
